Life lessons with things go south

When you screw up:

- Apologize.

- Make it short & simple. Good apologies are unconditional.

- Sometimes, all people need is an acknowledgement of the wrongdoings. No more, no less.

- Rationalization might win the brain, never the heart.

- Stand your ground. Do not lose sight of big picture.

When somebody else screws up:

- Gently remind them why they were wrong. You will be surprised, but many people won't realize they are being an ass until somebody tells them.

- Understand where they're coming from.

- Forgive them. You are human and so are they.

- Remind yourself: people who never make mistake never try anything new.
